The download online is large (14.6 MB and upt to 50 minutes at 56K) like any Internet Access dialer but Earthlink internet uses Smart Installer so if you should be so unlucky to lose the connection with minutes to go you not going to have to start the download completely over. That download will take a few more minutes if you add the free Parental control option at 4.0 MB more module and there are several additional modules and upgrades you can add later with the task panel.
Earthlink Total Access 2005 includes a Toolbar Earthlink for fast access to Earthlink user accessories and email account which includes a new email status and new email counter(good for quick business support online for example.) One click on the lower Total Access icon brings up the menu including getting connected. Two clicks brings up the toolbar. The Toolbar is also programmable like many toolbars would be.

Earthlink protection tools Spam blocker and spam folder, parental controls and Privacy. The Pop up blocker can be turned on and off quickly for those time you realize you need that Pop up box in order to continue surfing unlike being spammed with pop up ads.
