Email and your ISP
One advantage of an isp based email is the permanent factor. As long as you have the ISP you have an email. One the same hand though, if you change your ISP you loose your email when your service ends. That is why it is very popular to have an independant email through an email or web portal provider (like MSN, hotmail or Yahoo.)

Business email
Most of the major free email services are fine and fast providing you can find the email address you want. While saving money for fledging business is important so is sending the right message. If your a business and your sending a business email through a free email service you might also be sending out unwanted advertising and not even know it and sorry there is no option to turn it off. Some services may offer a fee based service as an add on as well as more email memory space and more service options in general (send an email to yourself or a personal email address and view it from top to bottom to find out.) Whether or not the advertising goes away with the fee varys with each provider.
